Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring an RN/LPN for our inpatient detox and residential treatment facility in Norfolk, VA. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, manage medications, and coordinate care with medical and clinical teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

This role requires a valid VA LPN license, a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year in the treatment industry. The shift is Monday–Friday, 3pm–11pm, with a strong emphasis on documentation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One-year post-high school diploma program.
• Current, valid LPN licensure in VA.
• At least 1 year experience in treatment industry preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive medical assessment for each client upon admission.
• Perform all nursing shift duties (screening, vitals, scheduling appts and labs, updating charts).
• Address pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations; dispense meds and maintain logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical and UR teams to ensure seamless care.
• Ensure impeccable medical documentation, chart review, and medication logging for each client.
