Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking an experienced RN to serve as Off Shift Director at Edna Tina Wilson Living Center. The role provides oversight of RN/LPN/CNA and secretarial staff, with focus on daily operations, patient care plans, and unit performance.

The position offers a full-time schedule (Mon-Fri, 3:00pm-11:30pm, no weekends) with shift differentials, tuition assistance up to $10,000, and a strong benefits package to advance your nursing leadership career.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program.
• One to three years of nursing experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• LT PAC nursing experience preferred.
• One year of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees & assures short & long term Nursing Dept. staff schedules per established guidelines.
• Facilitates units in emergency medical assessment & care of residents including interventions, transportation & other resources needed.
• Serves as a clinical resource person to staff in problem solving, assessments, special procedures & clinical skill enhancements.
• Coordinates with the Nursing Staff resident units & admissions dept. the rapid admission of residents including obtaining evaluations as indicated.
• Serves as adjunct to staff development coordinator in promoting planned inservices to nursing staff as per master schedule/plan.
• Provides continuity of resident status with hospital supervisory staff, and Nursing Administration.
• Supervises the M.D.R. directing, interacting with residents, families and staff in providing safe, pleasant mealtime and assuring appropriate completion of required records.
• Serves as major facilitator in QA program for Nursing Dept. including completion of assessments of designated audits & resultant actions required.
• In absence of Nurse Manager, provides staff counseling, discipline as per policy.
• Assists with Charge Nurse duties as needed while maintaining overall supervisory responsibility.
• Participates in Nursing department and facility QI program.
