Job summary

Masonicare Behavioral Health Hospital in Wallingford, CT seeks an experienced RN for the Evening Shift (32 hours/week on weekends off). The role provides professional nursing care to emotionally disturbed and/or mentally ill patients and coordinates with the treatment team to implement care plans.

Strong documentation and psychotropic medication administration are involved. Candidates should have an active CT RN license; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the State of Connecticut, in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Medication/Treatment Administration.
• Teaching.
• Supervision of CNAs & LPNs to implement the plan of care.
• Conducts intake assessments and develops an interdisciplinary plan.
• Plans and provides nursing care for patients.
• Communicates with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team.
• Administers and notes reactions to psychotropic drugs.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Documents patient information on medical charts and follows orders.
• Performs administrative assignments and provides courteous service.
