Job summary

The Respiratory Student Equipment Technician is a non-clinical support role responsible for cleaning, tracking, preparation, and delivery of respiratory equipment to support patient care operations across assigned clinical areas.

This position operates under the general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Shift Lead (RTSL) and reports to the Respiratory Therapy manager. It does not provide direct patient care and follows hospital policies and infection prevention standards.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a COARC-accredited respiratory therapy program or recognized successor
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, track, prepare, and deliver respiratory equipment across clinical areas
  • Follow hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and departmental procedures
  • Work under supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Shift Lead and RT Manager
  • No direct patient care responsibilities
