The Arc of Ocean County is seeking a Residential Assistant Supervisor to guide staff, support daily home operations, and promote person-centered care for adults with disabilities. You will coach Direct Support Professionals, ensure safe, compliant service delivery, and help orchestrate schedules, trainings, and staffing coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of residential experience preferred.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license with no more than five points.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise employees while fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and adjust schedules.
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of residential support.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Residential Program Manager with the daily operation of the home.
• Provide shift-level leadership and assume management responsibilities when circumstances require.
• Help maintain a safe, organized, welcoming, and person-centered residential environment.
• Respond to operational concerns and changing priorities while maintaining continuity of services.
• Provide Direct Support Professionals with day-to-day direction, coaching, and encouragement.
• Reinforce agency expectations while building a workplace culture centered on teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
• Assist with employee onboarding, training, scheduling, and maintaining appropriate shift coverage.
• Participate in staff feedback, coaching, and performance improvement activities.
• Encourage individuals to strengthen daily living skills, pursue personal goals, and participate in meaningful community activities.
• Help carry out Individual Habilitation Plans and individualized behavioral support strategies.
• Work with interdisciplinary team members, families, and outside providers to support positive outcomes.
• Promote dignity, personal choice, and independence in all aspects of residential support.
