Job summary

CHR Community Health Resources, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Residential Counselor for Willow House in Enfield, CT. Schedule: Friday and Saturday 3pm-11pm; 16 hours per week, on-site at Willow House, a 5-bed, 24-hour staffed program for young adults 18-25.

Responsibilities include supporting residents with independent living skills, coordinating care, and facilitating groups per the treatment plan. Valid driver's license and 2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience with a relevant population preferred.
• Valid driver's license required with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintains physical environment and program standards per CHR, DMHAS, JCAHO licensing.
• Monitors residents' medications per policy.
• Transmits day’s events to staff using appropriate tools.
• Teaches rehab areas: nutrition, budgeting, hygiene, and home care skills.
• Prepares/facilitates educational and skill-building groups.
• Coordinates care with providers and families as needed.
• Assists residents with medical/psychiatric needs and documentation.
