Job summary

Sheppard Pratt's Rehabilitation Specialist - RTC Towson, MD provides direct care to adults with serious mental illness within a structured residential setting. You will support clients in learning independent living and social skills, ensure safe medication administration, and collaborate on individualized service plans.

Based in Towson, the role requires flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Willingness to obtain additional certifications and trainings.
• Driver’s license with 3 points or less and access to insured vehicle.
• Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Act as a residential counselor, working one-on-one with clients to learn or regain skills for independent living and socialization.
• Ensure medication compliance, including safety, dosage, and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with the service team to develop and implement individual service plans.
• Provide transportation and attend clients’ medical appointments; document follow-ups and instructions.
• Develop rapport with clients as part of their trusted support system.
