Job summary

Spring Arbor of Athens in Athens, TN is seeking a full-time Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or CNA for the 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM). You will provide direct resident care, assist with daily living activities, dining support, and respond to emergencies to help residents maintain dignity and comfort.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented, with CPR/First Aid certifications; CNA preferred, PCA may be accepted where allowed by state requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, senior living, or service environment preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Must meet state certification/licensure requirements.
• Must pass background health screenings and drug-free workplace checks.
• Must have reliable transportation and, where required, a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfer, mobility).
• Provide dining room support, serve meals, and clear tables.
• Respond promptly to resident emergency call systems and requests for assistance.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to supervisors.
• Maintain resident care documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Assist with light cleaning, laundry, and maintaining clean resident rooms and common areas.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
