Job summary

California Institute of Applied Technology (CIAT) is seeking a Data Analytics Adjunct Instructor to teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams. The role offers evenings and flexible part-time hours to support working students and their success.

Ideal candidates hold relevant IT or analytics credentials with 3+ years of experience, possess official transcripts, and can deliver engaging lessons. Remote work is allowed for CA, NM, FL, MA residents in a supportive virtual campus.

Qualifications

• Official transcripts of bachelor’s (or higher) degree and active/current certification on the subject being taught.
• General Education instructors must provide official transcripts of bachelor’s and master’s degrees that include at least 18 units on the subject being taught.
• At least three years’ experience in the respective field OR two years of teaching experience.
• Advanced subject matter expertise in Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, visualization libraries, analytics methods, and project management practices.
• Synchronous online teaching preferred and effective presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement.
• Modify instructional methods to meet diverse student needs and ensure compliance with CIAT policies.
• Deliver engaging lessons and maintain professional standards in a remote teaching environment.
