Job summary

Gaudenzia, Inc. in Crownsville, MD is seeking compassionate staff for an evening shift in our men's and women's recovery program.

You will screen admissions, document movements, coordinate activities, supervise medication handling, and help residents build skills for long-term recovery. This role requires high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work 3-11pm on a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Ability to interact effectively with clients and aid them in adjusting to their specific problems.
• Basic knowledge of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relations with staff, other agencies, and the public.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen and process new admissions. Take head counts during hourly runs.
• Screen clients' personal belongings upon entry to the facility, monitor client movement in and out of the facility, and account for their whereabouts.
• Coordinate in-house activities based on the program's schedule which could include chores, breaks, exercise time, leisure time and visitations.
• Maintain accurate daily census, know where clients are on the floor, and report infractions and incidents to appropriate staff.
• Conduct client orientation sessions, seminars, and morning meetings as directed.
