Job summary

Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ is seeking an evening shift, full-time Radiology Technologist to join our Medical Imaging team. You will obtain diagnostic radiographic examinations, identify patients, and provide explanations to reduce anxiety while delivering safe, high-quality imaging.

You must hold NJ Diagnostic Radiology licensure, ARRT, and BLS certifications, and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have NJ Diagnostic Radiology licensure, ARRT, and BLS certifications.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

Obtain diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level.
Identify each patient prior to exam using two identifiers.
Gain patient cooperation by explaining treatment and answering questions.
Perform portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency rooms.
Provide lead protective shielding to minimize radiation exposure.
Accept assignments as prescribed by the Medical Imaging Coordinator and complete tasks accordingly.
Enter data utilizing electronic medical records.
Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
Maintain HIPAA compliance policies and procedures.
Perform any other duties assigned.
