Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Montclair, NJ is seeking an evening shift Radiology Technologist for a full-time role. The position involves obtaining diagnostic radiographic examinations, verifying patient identity, and assisting in portable, OR, and ER imaging.

You will uphold HIPAA compliance, document in EMR, and help maintain patient comfort and radiation safety. NJ licensure, ARRT and BLS certifications are required. Rate of pay is based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NJ Diagnostic Radiology licensure, ARRT, and BLS certifications.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Obtain diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level.
• Identify each patient prior to exam using two identifiers.
• Gain patient cooperation by explaining treatment and answering questions.
• Perform portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms, ORs, and ERs.
• Provide lead shielding to minimize radiation exposure.
• Accept assignments as prescribed by the Medical Imaging Coordinator.
• Enter data in electronic medical records.
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
• Maintain HIPAA-related policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
