Job summary

Albany International Corporation in Rochester, NH is seeking a Quality Technician for a 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM). You will support new product development via test methods, document discrepancies, train operators, and ensure conformance with customer requirements.

This hands-on role requires strong attention to detail, data entry, SAP/QA records, and collaboration with the quality team to uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all inspection methods, techniques, and related equipment.
• Highly organized with good attention to detail, self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Good math skills, mechanical aptitude, and ability to interpret drawings.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite, MS Excel required.
• 20/20 vision either corrected or without correction.
• Familiar with SPC, Lean Manufacturing practices and Six Sigma techniques.
• Able to understand customer and industry specifications and work instructions and correctly apply to product and process characteristics.
• Resourceful and proven hands-on problem solving abilities while working in a high demand environment.

Responsibilities

• New Product Development: implement and train operators on standard test methods; assist with deployment of customer methods.
• Measure and document test parts for process and test method validation.
• Train production operators on product release requirements.
• Deploy functional gauging and training on use; blueprint/drawing and sampling requirements.
• Manufacturing Support: train associates on first piece inspection and assist in certification.
• Use and train operators on several gauging methods; conduct training on GD&T, blueprint reading and dimensioning methods.
• Aid associates in becoming certified and coordinate with other functions on projects.
