Job summary

Marriott Providence Downtown is seeking a Houseman to support the housekeeping team in the afternoon and evening shift. You will maintain cleanliness of public areas, corridors, meeting spaces, and back-of-house areas, and assist Room Attendants while responding to guest requests.

You will replenish supplies, help with setup and breakdown of meeting rooms, perform deep-cleaning tasks, and report safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of guest corridors, elevators, stairwells, lobbies, public restrooms, and other public areas.
• Complete cleaning projects: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing, and spot cleaning.
• Respond promptly to guest requests for towels, linens, amenities, and other items.
• Deliver and replenish supplies for Room Attendants and Housekeeping staff.
• Remove dirty linen, trash, and recycling from guest floors and collection areas.
• Restock closets and storage rooms, keeping them organized and full.
• Assist with meeting room setups, breakdowns, and cleaning.
• Perform deep-cleaning projects as directed by management.
• Report maintenance concerns and safety hazards per hotel procedures.
• Maintain loading dock and service areas cleanliness.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and security procedures.
