Job summary

The American Club in Kohler, WI is seeking a Public Area Attendant to join our housekeeping team. This casual, part-time role helps maintain guest rooms and public spaces, including restaurants and banquet halls.

You will be on your feet most of the day, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and shifts run from 1:00 pm to 11:00 pm on weekends and weekdays.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US. The position offers a competitive hourly rate ($13.10–$19.60) and Kohler’s standard benefits.

Qualifications

• Prior hotel/lodging experience is helpful, but not necessary.
• Candidate must tolerate being on their feet for the majority of the day and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Clean public sitting rooms, public hallways and restrooms throughout the hotel.
• Clean and maintain restaurants and banquet halls.
• Sweep and vacuum carpets and area rugs. Polish furniture and fixtures.
• Vacuum and polish elevators. Keep the front of the hotel free from trash.
• Clean rugs, carpets, tiled floors, and upholstered furniture in Front of House.
• Perform daily tasks for restrooms, lifts, back areas, terrace, etc.
• Follow the special cleaning schedule from housekeeping control desk/management.
• Report maintenance to supervisor/housekeeping desk immediately.
• Assist guests in Public Areas when required.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleanpublic sitting rooms, public hallways as well as public restroom areasthroughout the hotel
  
• Cleanand maintain restaurants and banquet halls.
  
• Sweepand vacuum carpets and area rugs.
  
• Polishfurniture and fixtures.
  
• Vacuumand polish elevators.
  
• Keepthe front of the hotel free from trash.
  
• Cleanrugs, carpets, tiled floors, and upholstered furniture using a vacuumcleaner, broom & dustpan, and shampoo machine in the Front of House.
  
• Performdaily assigned tasks for restrooms, lifts, back areas, terrace, etc.
  
• Performspecial cleaning schedule given by the housekeeping control desk and/orhousekeeping management
  
• Reportmaintenance to supervisor/ housekeeping desk immediately.
  
• Complywith lost and found policy of the hotel.
• Assistguests in Public Areas when required.
  

This is a casual part-time position working weekends and weekdays. Shifts vary between 1:00 pm and 11:00 pm.
