Job summary

Abhealthnetwork is seeking a Primary Therapist in California to lead evening psychotherapy groups on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The role includes group psychotherapy, psychoeducation, assessments, case planning, and collaboration with the treatment team to support clients’ goals and recovery.

The position requires a Master's degree in Psychology or Social Work and licensure as an LMFT/LCSW in California, plus at least two years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology or social work is required.
• Active licensure as LMFT or LCSW in California is required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in mental health/substance use treatment.
• Criminal Background Clearance and health screening are required.
• First Aid/CPR certification is preferred and must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate evening group psychotherapy and psychoeducation on Wed/Thu.
• Conduct assessments, treatment planning, and crisis interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with treatment team and staff to maintain a safe environment.
• Provide individual, couples/family, and group therapy as required.
• Document accurately and maintain compliance with regulations.
• Train and support facility staff on mental health topics.
