Job summary

Creative Dining Services is seeking a part-time Prep Cook (PM shift) in Sioux Center, IA to support the dining services team by preparing high-quality, properly seasoned meals within established timelines. You will follow recipes, use safe food handling practices, and help with inventory, labeling, and ensuring temps are correct.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year food service experience preferred.
• ServSafe Certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food such that all food is ready for use within the established timeframe.
• Prepares food items according to established recipes and menus in a manner that preserves freshness, quality and appeal.
• Utilizes safe food handling techniques at all times.
• Stores food items according to established standards of practice; label and date items.
• Holds prepared food items at proper temperatures and maintains logs.
• Maintains a clean, sanitized, safe work area and organizes the station.
• Communicates needs and concerns to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Monitors kitchen equipment and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
• Supports kitchen staff and assists with inventory and ordering.
