Job summary

Leatherby’s Restaurant in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking part-time Prep Cooks to join our fast-paced team. You will prepare food items for guests, following recipes and quality standards to support great guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Prior food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets.
• Ability to use kitchen tools safely.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• No high school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve storage items necessary, and measure, portion, and prepare all food items, complying with all quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures
• Communicate with the Chef for any special instructions or training
• Maintain food, utensils, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner
• Performs opening, closing, and side work duties as instructed and according to proper guidelines
• Follow all safety, security, kitchen, and ServSafe procedures, upholding all health codes and sanitation regulations
