Job summary

Southwestern Community College seeks an Evening Nursing Instructor to teach primarily after 5:00 p.m. and supervise clinical experiences during night shifts (7:00 p.m.

– 7:00 a.m.) in support of the Practical Nursing program’s evening cohort. The instructor will implement curriculum aligned with program outcomes, deliver course content, assess student performance, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with clinical partners and program faculty to ensure high-quality clinical learning

Qualifications

• 2+ years of clinical nursing experience as an RN.
• Current CPR certification (BLS).
• RN license in NC or NC Compact license.
• Desire to teach nursing students in clinical, lab, and simulation.

Responsibilities

• Teach evening courses after 5:00 p.m. and supervise night clinical experiences.
• Maintain professional credentials and stay current with nursing practice.
• Assess student performance and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with clinical partners and program faculty to support learning.
