Job summary

Harvard Maintenance, Inc. is seeking a Porter for the second shift to support daily cleaning and upkeep across public and operational spaces in a commercial building. You will respond to requests, maintain a welcoming environment for tenants, employees, and visitors, and help with event setup when needed.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year as a Porter, strong communication skills, and is physically able to work outdoors in varying weather. Position is on-site with a 3pm–11pm schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Porter.
• Strong communication skills and ability to discuss with individuals at all levels.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, or kneel as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and other common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust to keep areas tidy.
• Empty trash and replace liners.
• Restock restroom supplies such as soap and paper towels.
• Wipe down doors, windows, and high-touch surfaces.
• Respond promptly to spills and tenant requests.
• Assist with moving furniture and setting up meeting spaces or events.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to management.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are kept in good condition.
• Follow all safety and cleaning protocols.
