Job summary

Harvard Maintenance is hiring a Porter to keep lobbies and common areas clean and welcoming. The role requires 1 year of Porter experience, strong communication, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. You’ll respond to tenant requests and support event setups, reporting any issues to management.

Day shift is 7am-3pm. Competitive salary with medical, dental, life, LTD, and a 401K plan is offered.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Porter.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups at all professional levels.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, or kneel as required.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and other common areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust as needed to keep areas tidy.
Empty trash and replace liners.
Restock restroom supplies (soap, towels, TP).
Wipe down doors, windows, and high-touch surfaces.
Respond promptly to spills and tenant requests.
Assist with moving furniture and setting up spaces for events.
Report maintenance or safety issues to management.
