Beacon Health System is hiring a full-time evening shift Phlebotomy/Lab Assistant for Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, IN. You will collect, accession, and process specimens for testing, ensure accurate requisitions, and perform Point-of-Care testing as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in math/biology preferred.
• Phlebotomy training or experience preferred.
• Prior patient care, customer service, or clerical experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain lab records.

Responsibilities

• Collect, accession, requisition, and process specimens for testing.
• Ensure laboratory requisitions are accurate and properly authorized.
• Perform phlebotomy and Point-of-Care testing as trained.
• Maintain lab records and assist with clerical duties.
• Communicate with care providers regarding delays or issues.
