Job summary

Snow College in Richfield, Utah is seeking a knowledgeable Phlebotomy Instructor to teach an evening, part-time phlebotomy course. The instructor will help students develop safe blood collection skills and professional confidence for healthcare settings.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of phlebotomy experience or an RN/LPN license with phlebotomy experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage diverse learners. Prior teaching or Canvas experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of phlebotomy experience or a current LPN/RN license with phlebotomy experience.
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teach evening phlebotomy classes using effective instructional methods and hands-on learning activities.
• Demonstrate proper phlebotomy techniques, including venipuncture, specimen handling, labeling, and safety procedures.
• Instruct students in infection control, standard precautions, patient identification, patient communication, and professional ethics.
• Provide opportunities for students to practice and develop competency in phlebotomy skills.
• Prepare course materials, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments aligned with course objectives.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and student records.
• Use Canvas to organize course materials, communicate with students, and manage assignments and grades.
• Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports student engagement and achievement.
