Job summary

Holland Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist Special Procedures to support Pre-Analytical Services within the Laboratory. The role focuses on specimen collection, processing, and EKG testing per defined protocols, with emphasis on maintaining specimen integrity and accurate labeling.

You will handle off-site phlebotomy, workflow management, and collaboration with PAT and LIS systems while upholding safety and patient privacy standards.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years phlebotomy experience.
• BLS/CPR certification required by the American Heart Association.
• Phlebotomy Certification or Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples using venipuncture with correct labeling and patient identification.
• Process and transport specimens to the laboratory, ensuring specimen integrity.
• Perform EKG testing and document results per protocol.
• Maintain phlebotomy trays and supply inventory; assist off-site phlebotomy as assigned.
• Adhere to infection control and patient privacy standards.
