Job summary

Holland Hospital is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to join the Laboratory team. This weekend morning shift (Saturday-Sunday, 4am-8am) requires phlebotomy experience and strong patient communication.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, labeling, entry into the LIS/HIS, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. BLS/CPR and high school diploma are required; phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or higher required.
• BLS/CPR by AHA required.
• Phlebotomist certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection with proper labeling and patient identification.
• Enter orders and accession specimens in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and HIS.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy during blood collection.
• Maintain phlebotomy trays and supply inventory; transport specimens as needed.
• Perform off-site phlebotomy as assigned.
