Job summary

Saint Mary’s Hospital Laboratory in Waterbury, CT is seeking a Full-time Phlebotomist for the Evening Shift. You will collect inpatient blood specimens, process laboratory samples for clinical analysis, and provide patient information to care providers to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.

Responsibilities include proper patient identification, venipuncture, specimen labeling, and handling orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Nat'l Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year phlebotomy experience in blood draw station, ambulatory care or acute care setting.
• Must be able to train in EPIC on day shift.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient per policy and perform venipuncture using standard/butterfly methods.
• Label all specimens following laboratory policy.
• Receive/cancel orders and process laboratory/microbiology specimens.
