Job summary

TriHealth is seeking a Phlebotomist for the Good Samaritan Hospital Lab in Cincinnati to collect specimens from patients of all ages and support diagnostic testing. You will ensure accurate labeling, proper sample handling, and act as a liaison between the lab and care teams.

This role features an evening shift, full-time hours, and a comprehensive benefits package with shift differentials up to $7 per hour based on hours worked.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy training upon hire preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patients using two identifiers; matches to chart in EMR and labels specimens correctly.
• Collects quality specimens using venipuncture with proper technique to avoid recollects and errors.
• Prepares samples for courier pickup and ensures proper handling and storage.
• Interacts professionally with patients and coworkers to minimize wait times and maintain a neat draw area.
