The position requires proficiency in registering patients and managing test orders in EMR/LIS, with opportunities to assist technologists and leadership as needed.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy (Fundamental Awareness): basic exposure or training in phlebotomy.
• Quality Assurance: understanding processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Specimen Collection: knowledge of collecting blood specimens.
• Customer Service: ability to respond to customer needs and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Collecting venous and capillary whole blood specimens.
• Chain of Custody urine and venous blood specimens.
• Accessioning, labeling, procuring specimens for testing and transport.
• Registering patients and placing or deleting test orders in EMR/LIS, operating LIS.
• Assist technologists and Administrative Laboratory Director as needed.
