Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Less than 1 year of relevant experience is expected.
• Phlebotomy and specimen collection experience or training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages and obtain quality samples.
• Verify patient ID using two identifiers and handle specimens per Universal Precautions.
• Promote Credo Behavior and maintain a positive attitude with co-workers.
• Promote the clinical laboratory profession by teaching and mentoring students and others.
• Improve processes and efficiency in workflow and inventory management.
• Participate in Continuing Education and continuously improve phlebotomy skills.
