Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England Saint Francis Hospital in Connecticut is seeking a Phlebotomist for the Specimen Processing Lab. You will obtain blood specimens for inpatients and the Emergency Department, and service Hartford area nursing homes, three evenings per week.

You will also assist in processing laboratory specimens to support clinical analysis and patient care. Evening shift, 40 hours weekly, with a schedule of 3 pm–11:30 pm and alternating inpatient/ED coverage plus nursing home

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Phlebotomy Training Program required.
• One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• National Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient per policy and perform venipuncture using standard methods.
• Label all specimens following laboratory policy.
• Receive/c cancel orders and process laboratory/microbiology specimens.
