Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Pharmacy Tech I to join our team for part-time evening shifts. You will work under a licensed pharmacist to assist with medication preparation, dispensing, inventory, and customer service, contributing to patient safety and accurate medication delivery.

This entry-level role emphasizes attention to detail, ability to learn pharmacy software, and collaboration with pharmacists, providers, and patients in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active registration and good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician, or willingness to submit application by first day of employment.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred; certification may be required within a specified timeframe.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain accurate information in EPIC and other pharmacy systems.
• Retrieve, count, package, and prepare medications for pharmacist verification.
• Fill medication orders and prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Assist pharmacists with medication distribution processes and inventory management.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service to patients, providers, and coworkers.
