Job summary

The Cigna Group in Newark, Delaware, is seeking a Pharmacy Production Clerk Associate to ensure medications meet quality control standards, are properly labeled, stored, and stocked, and to visually inspect patient-bound medications for defects. This onsite role requires late afternoons or evenings and covers tasks across Bulk and Prep, Packing, and mail fulfillment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of relevant experience.
• General PC knowledge is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good visual acuity.
• Ability to read and compare and differentiate data.
• Ability to stare/review small medications or bottles for extended periods.
• Ability to be on feet walking and standing for extended periods.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to perform different roles during a shift.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each package has the correct paperwork, envelopes, medications, packing and shipping labels before sealing and sending packages to patients.
• Work on one order at a time at the workstation.
• Ensure the address prints correctly on each package.
• All bags are correctly sealed; printers loaded with correct paper.
• Package prescriptions requiring special handling per process and policy.
• Collaborate with coworkers to share best practices while maintaining productivity and quality.
• Report issues to leadership and provide input on solutions.
• Bulk up medications from manufacturer bottles, including labeling of large containers.
• Visually inspect patient-bound medications.
• Orient packages for sortation system.
• Prepare mail sacks or bulk containers for shipment.
• Manual material handling, storage, and stocking of shelves/workstations.
• Sort and distribute literature packs to CADS/Averts stations.
• Keep workstation clean at all times.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
