Job summary

Affordable Family Care Services, Inc. seeks compassionate Personal Care Aides in Chapel Hill, NC to support seniors and people with disabilities at home, helping them live independently with dignity.

You will assist with daily living activities, monitor basic health needs, help with grooming and meals, arrange or provide transportation, and communicate observations to caregivers, nurses and family members. We offer a wellness program, continuing education, and travel time reimbursement;

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Vehicle must be insured.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Current TB test.
• Must pass background and drug check; E-Verify eligible.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing and other daily tasks
• Perform basic health care services for clients including checking vital signs or administering prescription medication
• Help with general light housekeeping, including cooking meals
• Make transportation arrangements or provide transportation for clients as needed
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Observe and report on each client’s condition
• Stay up-to-date with home health aide training, policies and procedures
