Responsibilities

• Preparing operating rooms by ensuring instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready and functional
• Providing scrub support to surgeons and perioperative team during procedures
• Anticipating needs of the surgical team to maintain a smooth, safe operative environment
• Maintaining sterile technique and following infection prevention and organizational policies
• Handling and passing instruments and supplies with accuracy and care
• Assisting with patient care before, during, and after surgery while supporting safety and dignity
• Assisting with maintenance and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment between procedures
• Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and perioperative staff for coordinated care
• Participating in quality improvement, staff education, and ongoing professional development
