Job summary

Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ is seeking a Per Diem Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping) for the Environmental Services Department. Hours are 3:30PM - 11:30PM, including every other weekend. Starting rate is $21.21/hr.

This position is eligible for the Atlantic Health System teenhiring initiative (specific shifts). Responsibilities include general cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms and bathrooms, trash removal, linen replacement, and cleaning at Union Campus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required or will obtain within 1 year of employment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Solid work history required.
• Must meet the fit testing requirement.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
• Must be 16 or older; NJA300 form and working papers if 16 or 17.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning, trash removal, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing patient rooms and bathrooms.
• Clean or replace linens and ensure a tidy patient environment.
• Clean duties include handling bodily fluids when required.
