Job summary

Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center is seeking a Per Diem Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping) in the Environmental Services Department. Starting rate is $21.21/hr. Duties include general cleaning, trash removal, and maintaining cleanliness in inpatient rooms, with shifts that include every other weekend.

The role may require work at Union Campus and involves cleaning of bodily fluids. Required HS Diploma or GED, ability to read/write/speak English, and a solid work history.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required or will obtain within 1 year of employment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Solid work history a must.
• Need to meet the fit testing requirement.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
• Must be 16 or older (prior to hire, must complete NJA300 Combined Certification Form/Working Papers).
• If 16 or 17 years-old, valid working papers required.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning, empty trash, high/low dusting, mop floors, sanitize all furniture inpatient rooms, clean commode, clean bathrooms and discard debris, remove soiled linen and replace with fresh linen in patient rooms.
• EVS Aide will also need to work at Union Campus.
• Position includes cleaning of bodily fluids.
