Job summary

OU Medicine's Oklahoma Children's Hospital is seeking a Radiographer for the Evening Shift to perform diagnostic X-ray examinations using fixed and portable equipment in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. You will prepare patients, administer contrast per protocol, review history, and ensure high-quality images for timely reporting.

Ideal candidates have ARRT certification, BLS, and a solid understanding of EMR/PACS; experience level varies by radiographer grade.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited imaging/radiology program as defined by ARRT or JRCERT accepted military program.
• Associate’s degree in imaging/radiology per ARRT requirements (II/III) or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support (AHA) required upon hire; ARRT certification within 12 months for Radiographer I.
• ARRT (RT) certification required at hire for Radiographer II/III.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging on patients in routine or emergent conditions.
• Ensure testing is performed safely with high quality standards.
• Prepare patients and review clinical history for provider-ordered tests.
• Communicate results timelines to patients and family.
• Record and transfer images to EMR/PACS and prepare studies for physician review.
• Maintain QC and equipment hygiene per guidelines.
