Job summary

OU Medicine's Pediatric Radiology department in Oklahoma City is seeking a PRN Pediatric CT Technologist to perform routine and complex CT exams using established protocols, ensuring patient safety and image quality.

The role requires ARRT (CT) certification, BLS, and at least 1 year of CT experience. Education in imaging/radiology and ability to work independently on a per-shift basis is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited imaging, radiology or nuclear medicine program as defined by ARRT or completion of a JRCERT accredited military educational program is accepted in lieu of other education requirements.
• At least 1 year of CT experience required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• ARRT(RT)(CT) certification is required.
• Solid knowledge of anatomy and physiology, CT imaging principles, and radiologic terminology.
• Ability to prioritize and independently complete clinical and non‑clinical work assignments with limited direction.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex CT examinations with established protocols.
• Prepares patients and correlates clinical history with exams to support imaging.
• Safely administers contrast per protocol and documents in EMR/PACS.
• Maintains equipment and cleans/disinfects per manufacturer instructions and regulatory requirements.
• Participates in continuing education and quality improvement activities.
