Job summary

Jefferson Center for Mental Health seeks a Children's Crisis Stabilization Nurse to deliver psychiatric nursing services for children/youth in the CSU. The role includes medication monitoring, education, and collaboration with the Medical Director and prescribers.

Evening shifts are planned: 6:00pm-midnight on Thu/Fri and a 12-hour shift Wed. The CSU team focuses on brief crisis stabilization for ages 5–18.5 with diverse backgrounds and needs.

Qualifications

• RN (BSN preferred) or LPN with two or more years of behavioral health experience.
• Experience with children/youth and families preferred.
• Understanding of medical conditions in behavioral health and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

• Assist treatment team in discharge planning.
• Provide medication education/medication groups for patients.
• Life-threatening event management and monitoring as part of CSU operations.
