Job summary

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking a Clinical Assistant to support therapeutic play and structured learning for children with special health care or behavioral needs. You will closely collaborate with the classroom team to implement individualized treatment plans, provide educational activities, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment for children.

Additionally, you will assist with transportation of children, including driving a minibus, and help with clerical tasks.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required.
1 year experience with children with special health care or behavioral needs preferred.
CDL with Passenger Endorsement within 6 months required.
Certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 3 months required.
Ability to operate a company vehicle and be insured on CHOP policy required.

Responsibilities

Support the classroom team with individualized treatment plans and structured interventions.
Provide educational and therapeutic activities to promote adaptive functioning.
Supervise children and ensure a safe, supportive environment.
Safely transport children, drive a minibus, and supervise patients during transport.
Document clinical information, data, and outcomes accurately and timely.
Communicate behavioral concerns to the clinical team and families.
