Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Augusta in McDonough, GA is seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA)/Caregiver for evening shifts. You will provide essential at‑home care, assist with daily activities, and help clients maintain safety and dignity in their homes.

The role emphasizes 1:1 client support, personal care tasks, and meaningful companionship, with a $200 sign‑on bonus and opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Personal Care Aide certification in GA (Interim can assist with certification)
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Current CPR/First Aid certification and TB screening
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies
