RWJBarnabas Health at Clara Maass Medical Center is seeking a Transporter Aide to help move patients safely and compassionately throughout the hospital, coordinating with nurses and clinicians to support timely transport. This full-time eveningshift (16hrs.) position requires availability for the 3:00pm to 11:00p.m. shift, with rotating weekends and holidays, and an hourly wage of $20.67.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with nurses, physicians and team members.
• Dependable, safety-focused, and committed to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in and out of beds with nurse or PCT support.
• Ensure patients are comfortable and safe during transit within the hospital.
• Transport patients to and from units and Imaging Modalities within expected timeframes.
• Maintain communication with the Transport Dispatcher and update transport status in the system.
• Assist with bed management, including organizing beds and removing oxygen tanks when no longer needed.
• Follow isolation protocols, PPE and hand hygiene requirements.
• Use two patient identifiers to correctly identify every patient.
• Sign in/out of the logbook, print the ticket to ride, and notify staff on arrival.
