Job summary

Advocate Condell Medical Center is seeking a part-time Patient Transporter. The role requires transporting patients safely, maintaining a clean environment, and coordinating with nursing and dispatch teams. Shifts run 2:30 p.m.

to 11:00 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays to meet department needs. Responsibilities include teaming with care staff, using proper body mechanics, and ensuring clear communication with dispatchers.

Qualifications

• Must be able to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures related to patient transport.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients while ensuring safety for patients, co-workers and self.
• Attend department, hospital, and Advocate educations and meetings.
• Follow proper body mechanics and lifting techniques; use gait belt as required.
• Communicate changes in patient schedules to dispatcher and ancillary departments.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and family members.
