Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Patient Transporter for the Evening Shift to transport patients, staff and equipment across the facility in Columbus, OH. The role supports patient comfort and safety while ensuring timely transfers and accurate deliveries in a busy hospital setting.

Responsibilities include assisting patients with transfers, delivering supplies, and providing directions to visitors. CPR certification is required by orientation; high school diploma or equivalent is

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR HeartSaver certification required by end of orientation.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to lift and transport patients.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher or bed to designated sites.
• Assist patients with entering/exiting vehicles and transfers from wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Deliver equipment and specimens; assist with removal of deceased bodies when needed.
• Greet and provide information/directions to patients and visitors.
