Job summary

Geisinger Lewistown Hospital is seeking a Regular transport team member for evenings to move patients and equipment across the campus. You will support patient flow, assist with bed and equipment movements, and coordinate with care teams to maintain safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include using the Transport Tracker XT system, identifying patients, and ensuring proper handoffs during transport. This role requires teamwork and a patient-first mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required for consideration.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff.
• Must be able to work in a hospital transport environment with shift rotations.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients and belongings between departments and clinics.
• Assists floor staff to ready patients for transport.
• Transports equipment and beds to requesting departments as needed.
• Uses Transport Tracker XT to receive and manage assignments.
• Identifies patients prior to transport and ensures proper patient identification.
• Collaborates with the health care team to support patient care during transport.
