Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY is seeking a Transporter for the evening shift to move patients, specimens and pharmaceutical goods across the medical center and maintain rolling stock and stretchers. The role includes handling pneumatic tube transfers and ensuring timely, safe transports within established timeframes.

Responsibilities include keeping wheelchairs and stretchers clean and ready, maintaining clerical records, and assisting in emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Required.
• 1-3 years of experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• OHS Fit Test
• OHS Annual Assessment

Responsibilities

• Transports patients, specimens and pharmaceutical goods throughout Medical center.
• Routinely collects and maintains wheelchairs and stretchers (including cleaning).
• Maintains clerical records as needed.
• Maintains and operates pneumatic tube system when necessary.
• Perform related duties as required.
• Assistance is provided in emergency situations on a timely and reliable basis.
