Job summary

Palomar Health in Escondido, CA seeks a District Transport Aide to support patient movement across departments. You will assist with transport prep, respond to pages swiftly, inspect equipment, and log repairs while maintaining safety and infection control practices.

You will float as needed, follow policies, and provide courteous service, using basic computer tools to document tasks and communicate with team and patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma and/or combination of education and experience.
• Recent experience in customer service setting is preferred.
• BLS - Healthcare Provider certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation for transport and moving patients between departments.
• Answer department pages, telephone and cell calls promptly and courteously.
• Inspect equipment and ensure maintenance/repairs are performed.
• Log equipment out for repairs and notify the Director of needed repairs.
• Instruct staff on proper procedures and maintenance of equipment.
• Float throughout the District as needed and follow all policies.
