Job summary

Wellstar Health Systems in Georgia is seeking team members for an evening shift focused on retail service, tray line meal prep, and patient meal delivery. The role involves assisting with dining room operations, maintaining cleanliness, and following HACCP and health guidelines to ensure safe food handling.

You will work with a healthcare team to support patient meals, transport food carts, and keep equipment and work areas clean while providing courteous service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written English language and Math.
• No specific technical tools required beyond basic math and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the Safety of Customers and Team Members (according to HACCP and County Health Department Guidelines).
• Washes hands frequently and appropriately wear gloves.
• Follows infection prevention practices and reports potential risks.
• Maintains work areas clean and organized; spills and hazards are addressed.
• Monitors and records food and/or equipment temperatures; corrects out-of-range occurrences.
• Stores food and/or supplies with proper labeling, dating and rotation methods.
• Operates equipment according to safety guidelines and escalates unsafe conditions.
• Ensures Positive Service Outcomes; follows department work schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Sets up, maintains and breaks down workstation according to area requirements.
• Follows written and verbal instructions with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Completes area checklists and forms.
• Operates and cares for equipment per guidelines.
• Remains flexible to support other team members across the department.
