Job summary

Montefiore Nyack Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Associate to support nursing staff in the evening shift, performing vitals, ADLs, and basic lab tasks. You will assist with feeding, mobility, and documentation while adhering to hospital policies and the Patient Bill of Rights.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, health care experience, and preferred CNA/PCT credentials or active nursing study. Training provided for clinical competencies.

Qualifications

• Previous health care experience required.
• CNA or PCT certification or nursing program enrollment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care tasks under RN supervision, including vital signs and activities of daily living.
• Documents vital signs, measurements and nursing observations.
• Assists with nutrition, mobility, feeding and personal hygiene.
• Performs phlebotomy, EKG and basic lab specimen collection as assigned.
