Responsibilities

• Ensure forms for signatures, authorizations, and consents are completed.
• Document insurance payor plan codes and authorization numbers for proper billing.
• Assign patient types and beds according to registration type (ER, inpatient, outpatient, etc.).
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Support efficient patient flow and waiting area management.
• Participate in department meetings and on-call weekend rotations.
